Officially a TCU Graduate!
It's all over! I officially recieved my Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, plus some minors thrown in there for good measure! I can't believe how fast four years can fly by, but I am so excited to see what's next! RAH RAH TCU!!

The Texas Intercollegiate Press Association named TCU News Now the best college news station in Texas! It's nice to know all of our hard work is worth it! Can't believe it's all over....

Schieffer Symposium
Meeting Bob Schieffer...again!
How lucky am I to go TCU! Every year Bob Schieffer brings a fantastic panel of professional journalists to the Schieffer symposium. This year's symposium was right up my alley! It was all focused on election coverage. John Harris, a co-founder of Politico was one of the panelists. As a self proclaimed political junkie Politico is basically my life blood. Not only did I get to share a room with him but I actually talked to him for about 15 minutes!!! HOW COOL?! Plus, Chuck Todd, my crush from the MSNBC's "The Rundown" was part of the panel.
A huge focus of the Symposium was the damage to Romney during the primary and how/if he can come back. I was surprised to hear many panelists give Romeney a serious chance in the general election.
There was also some speculation about potential Republican Vice Presidential candidates. I was glad to hear Kelly Ayotte come up but I have to agree with most panelists who said they thought we will see more action from her next election cycle.
Basically getting to talk to 3 of my favorite people in the business personally (Chuck Todd, Bob Schieffer and John Harris) was just about a dream come true!

Mandy Naglich in her first newscast as a sports reporter!
Reppin the ladies as the first female sports anchor this semester for TCU News Now. It was way harder than I thought I normally have no problem reading of the prompter but all of the statistics and numbers were hard for me! Next time I will definitely read through the script before hand! We will see how that works out when I go at it again!
Also, I just can NOT believe the semester is half way over! We have become quite the little newscast family and I have loved every minute!

the newscast I produced for the breaking drug story at TCU -Mandy Naglich
TCU had a story break the morning of our weekly newscast that I produced. It was easily one of the most stressful days of my life I wrote the script for the newscast as well as the drug package. After 15 hours in the newsroom that Wednesday I am SO HAPPY with how it turned out. Especially my fun pitch into the green screen. Enjoy!

Senior Year
